Stella, Stanley, Blanche and Marlon.

Stella was another teen mom, not ready for the responsibilities of motherhood. When she ate one of her newborn pups, and left the other three in a bed by themselves, her owner realized that he was not ready for the responsibilities of foster-motherhood, which include nursing the puppies every two hours, and stimulating them to urinate and defecate. The little family was relinquished to us. Fortunately Stella was a champion milk producer, and was able to nurse the puppies under supervision. Stanley, Blanche and Marlon grew up fast and strong. Though their foster mom found it hard to part with them, they have all gone to terrific forever homes. Every now and then we get a message such as this one from Blanche's mom: "Thank you again for the best gift! I love this little pug so much some days I feel like my heart is going to explode!" Yep, that's what we call a happy ending.
