Butter
Brought in off the streets of Sacramento at 5 months, with a shattered hind leg, Butter was a wriggly, sweet, submissive bundle of love. Her leg was repaired, and she was placed in foster care. When she met Buck, our vet's other recently rescued puppy, it was crazy Romeo and Juliet style love at first site. Butter is now our best ambassador dog, going to schools to teach kids how to approach dogs with manners and confidence. She is also foster mom to many of our recovering cats and dogs. She is the heart of our organization, in many ways.
